When I was a little child, I assumed the people who were chosen by God to do His work were all perfect, so to say.
They were without blame, good guys and nice. When we look into the Word, we will find out that not everyone
Was a good person.
The famous Apostle Paul used to be an “anti-christ”, persecuting and killing Christians.
We can read in Acts 9:1-5
‘Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”‘
Acts 22:7-8
‘And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?’ So I answered, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And He said to me, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.”

Saul becomes Apostle Paul
When we look at other persons in the Bible, we can see they all had a “problem”.
Noah was a drunkard.
Abraham was an old man.
Jacob was a liar.
Leah was an ugly person.
Moses was a murderer and unable to talk.
Isaac was a dreamer.
Gideon was a coward.
David committed adultery and murder.
Elijah wanted to commit suicide.
Isaiah was naked when preaching.
Jonah tried to hide from God.
Naomi was a widow.
Job lost everything.
Peter denied Jesus.
Martha was a worrier.
Maria Magdalene had a demon.
Zaccheus was too small.
Timothy had an ulcer.
Lazarus was dead.
The disciples were sleeping during prayer time.
God is calling people to do His work. No matter what you did or what you are. God can use everybody if He chooses to.
Do not hesitate if you are being called / chosen by God.
The Bible tells us in Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Remember, if God calls you, He will be with you. Do not be afraid! He will guide you and lead you from the beginning to the end.
Listen to the Holy Spirit and start doing the good work!
In Jesus’ mighty name.
