Pray Without Ceasing

One important aspect in our Christian life is to always be connected to God. We as Christians do have the Holy Spirit living within us.

Every morning when I wake up, I go straight away to my devotions. I pray and thank the Lord for a new day. Then I open the Bible and read.

The Lord always has a message for me to discover. By meditating and being in spirit, He always shows me things of importance for the day.

One important lesson is that we must never stop praying.

Luke 18:1

 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

There are times when we are feeling down. When it seems that God is far away and not helping. We must not loose heart. It may be a test for us. It may be that it’s not time, yet and we need to wait on things wished or hoped for.

God always listens to us. We need to show patience and keep praying.

Look at 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Romans 12:12

 ¹² rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

Prayer is talking to God. He wants us to communicate. God already knows our agenda, He still wants us to bring it up towards Him.

God wants our fellowship with Him.

He is Lord, our King.

The Lord is always looking after us. We must trust Him, no matter what the situation is.

When I am in trouble or in need, I always come back to this scripture which is His promise to us:

Matthew 6:31-34

³¹ “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ ³² For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. ³³ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. ³⁴ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
