Seven Requirements Being A Christian

1.Love one another.

The Bible tells us that the greatest commandment of God is to love one another.

³⁷ Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ ³⁸ This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ ⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 22:37-40

2.Worship and exalt Him.

Exalt the Lord our God,
And worship at His footstool—
He is holy.

Psalm 99:5

3.Acknowledge Him and pray without ceasing.

¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray without ceasing, ¹⁸ in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1Thessalonians 5:16-18

4.Listen to God and meditate on His Word.

⁴⁷ He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

John 8:47

 ⁸ This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Joshua 1:8

5.Obey and serve God.

²⁹ But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.

Acts 5:29

6.Go out and preach the gospel to everyone.

¹⁵ And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15

7.Trust God with all your heart.

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Those are seven requirements from God to His people.

We simply must imitate Jesus. We have been given His power and authority to do even greater things than He did.

¹² “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

John 14:12
