The Disciple Andrew

Andrew the apostle of Jesus was one of the twelve Disciples of Jesus.

He was the brother of Simon Peter, and the two were fishermen in Galilee. Today, Andrew is considered the patron saint of Scotland, and his feast day is November 30.

Andrew the Disciple was most likely born in Bethsaida, which was a fishing town in Galilee.

It is estimated that Andrew must have been born ca.
AD 5, Bethsaida, Galilee, Roman Empire

And died ca.AD 60/70, Patras, Achaea, Roman Empire.

Andrew the Disciple was a fisherman, called by Jesus to be one of the twelve apostles. He was present at a number of events in the New Testament, including Jesus’ death and resurrection, and was a key part in spreading the Gospel. Later on in life, he is believed to have traveled extensively to preach and spread Christianity. He is traditionally said to have been martyred in Patras, Greece in 62 CE.

According to some accounts, he was bound to an X-shaped cross and crucified.
